So much writing, so little time

Hey! This week was definetely a busy one...my son is playing with one of his Scooby-Doo toys right now (and hiding it in his little tunnel). Along with being busy mothering (and loving it!), I have also been wasting no time with ignorant writing of the novel that I am currently working. Indeed, it has been a week full of late nights (I like to get all my ideas down on paper before I go to bed since I know that if I save something for morning, I will definetely forget it) (I know that I am not the only writer who is like this!). So late that my husband, Michael is shocked that I am not finished with the novel already! (I am not close to finishing it at all! Diligence (at least mine, at least in writing) comes in an array of different ideas and I had the little thought a few days ago of making some of the roles do a turnaround. You know--what if I made the bad guys good and the good guys bad? Doing mind-altering things with your characters is not a simple thing. My husband serves as a good backboard for some of these ideas like, "I'm tired of everyone assuming the antagonist can solely be bad, everyone has layers...What if she were a good mother? I have gotten tired of cliches. Michael humbly responds usually with a simple, "I haven't thought of it like that before..." or something that makes me think and plan the tale further, like, "What would your point be in doing that? How is it dedicated to the message of the whole story?" In this week of sharing with my husband (my first editor and advice-giver) and working on a much larger rough draft, I am sorry but I haven't found time to jot down a short story or even make a quick doodle in my sketch-book that I am comfortable with sharing with the world. It does and can take time to write and get down something good, admittedly. (...and I call English my best subject lol) so I am sorry but I don't have any stories/drawings which I will be able to post this week. Please come again next week! Thank you.
