Too Late

Zion Jones let out a gust of air as he shut his dark brown eyes, right after looking at the black clock on the wall, as if that would ever bring him any comfort. He only had a few more minutes until his day of work at the Miami Interrogation unit would finally end, although the Everest-like pile of papers that coated his desk said something different. It was Friday, the end of the week, and there was supposed to be a hope for him and his wife and children to have a weekend of time spent with him, but he had bid that hope farewell too extensive an amount of time to remember ago, right before he was up to his eyeballs in paperwork on a new case. He knew too that he should not have any vain hopes such as this too, he was an interrogator and if he did not do his job right, it could always be worse. Much, much worse. The sheets that lay before him were all that he yet had on a burglary-gone-wrong, and he trusted that though all of his work appeared overwhelming, it wasn’t even the half of a...

Thoughts on Holy Ghost

Image
I have been impressed and thus reminded of the power of the gift if the Holy Ghost this week. Sadly, I find myself unable to attend church on this day since I have been feeling sick to my stomach these past few days. I recently started my final trimester of being pregnant and several things have just been harder. I still have a few thoughts that I would like to share this week, primarily on the Comforter, so I an doing that on here. ❤️ The Holy Ghost is a messenger and witness of God; the Father and of Jesus Christ.  Let me elaborate: Have you ever felt God's love in your daily life? This is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. God reaches out to His children and truly communicates to them (for me, it is often through a warm feeling in my heart...although there may be different ways for different people). You can receive the Holy Ghost when you are a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 🌤 Through the comforting spirit of the Holy Ghost you...

So much writing, so little time

Image
Hey! This week was definetely a busy one...my son is playing with one of his Scooby-Doo toys right now (and hiding it in his little tunnel). Along with being busy mothering (and loving it!), I have also been wasting no time with ignorant writing of the novel that I am currently working. Indeed, it has been a week full of late nights (I like to get all my ideas down on paper before I go to bed since I know that if I save something for morning, I will definetely forget it) (I know that I am not the only writer who is like this!). So late that my husband, Michael is shocked that I am not finished with the novel already! (I am not close to finishing it at all! Diligence (at least mine, at least in writing) comes in an array of different ideas and I had the little thought a few days ago of making some of the roles do a turnaround. You know--what if I made the bad guys good and the good guys bad? Doing mind-altering things with your characters is not a simple thing. My husband serves as a ...

Writing Week Continued

This week was a busy week personally with how much I wrote. Here is the thing though, I didn't get the chance to finish the story that I was working on, though I was able to set some foundationswith what I am writing (like exactly who my primary narrorors are (I know too much about the story to allow there to only be one), the names of the characters (I named a few Russian or French names firstoff, but seeing how the original story and character's basis was German, that felt wrong so I changed them!) (naming characters is hard!), also, in reading it aloud (at least some of the parts which I have written) to my husband he had a suggestion for my writer's mind and I immediately of maybe taking it to a more well publishing company so I can actually make something off of it (at least something more, since I do write with talent (his words, not mine!)). So, this week was more of a rough draft week (or a writing week as far as my novel goes) and I have nothing proper that I may ...

Former Dreams from a Former (I think I was in 4th grade) Me

Brooke Jensen Gardner has a few goals she would like to achieve, she wants to become an author, or an actress. Brooke would also like to travel to Greece, France, Japan, and Switzerland, maybe even live in France or Greece. One of Brooke's most wanted goals is to write a whole series of bestselling books. Or maybe write more books after she finishes the series. If Brooke weree to become an actress she would have loads of fun! Brooke would like to make movies, she would imagine it being really fun! Brooke would like to live in California, France, or Greece. She would like to live in California because she loves the ocean, France because it is beautiful, and Greece because it is the most beautiful place she knows of. Brooke wants to be rich because then she will have no worries and can visit her parents a lot. When Brooke is older, she wants to have 8 kids, 4 boys and 4 girls. She hopes she can be a stay-at-home mom working on her writing in her free time. Brooke also hopes that her...

Why Does it Always Have to be Midnight?

Hey, my name is Bradley Steven Humperdink, I am sort of the prince charming character of this story without being a prince. Weird, right? I was born and raised in the middle of a broken land, a divided kingdom. My job was to be a cook at the bakery, even though I was horrible at baking foods. In school I had to study biographies of princesses like Cinderella and Snow White. When I was in the middle of my studies, I noticed something, the climax was always at midnight. Then a quick question came across my mind, “Why does it always have to be midnight?” but then, I graduated from school, got a job, so I forgot that when I was in school, I asked the simple question. As I grew older, I became the hero of everything, and it was just because I was quarterback of the football team. I was also a girl magnet, so I had a girlfriend. Her name was Cindy Samantha Jensen. She was way too clingy to me. She was with me all the time! She also talked to me about marriage all the time as if she want...

Paving the Way

Nothing was happening. Chaos was the only thing in the universe; until a speck of rock appeared in the nothingness. Mother Earth is being formed. This is part of one of the stories in Greek myth. In Aztec beliefs, almost everyone had dark skin. One of the few people with light skin is the Great White God. Both cultures have different beliefs and different ways, but both are incredibly interesting. Greeks Greeks had wonderful stories called myths. Myths are things that are not real, but they explained how things worked. The subject is called mythology. Dionysus is the Greek god of Wine and Pleasure. Athene is the goddess of wisdom and war. In one legend, Zeus fell in love with Princess Europa. When he brought her back, he turned into a bull and Europa rode on his back. In another legend, Minotaur was a half-human half-bull. Prince Theseus went out to kill the monster, he had a word to kill it and a ball of thread to find his way back. On his mission, Theseus killed the beast. ...
